Emotion on Ice

Adler Mannheim is one of the most traditional and successful ice hockey clubs in Germany. With their impressive history, numerous championship titles, and a loyal fan base, they stand for top-level sport, team spirit, and enthusiasm both on and off the ice.

Over the course of two and a half decades, a close partnership has developed between the advertising agency and Adler Mannheim – extending far beyond the design of team jerseys. From the very beginning, our goal was to communicate the radiance of the “Adler Mannheim” brand professionally and to make it visible to a wide audience – not only in the arenas, but also beyond the boundaries of traditional media, campaigns, and merchandise formats. The agency’s comprehensive brand support includes: the creative design of new seasonal corporate designs each year, jersey designs, the development of high-impact media campaigns, video productions, and digital marketing initiatives.

Highlights from 25 years of collaboration include the early introduction of a curated “Social Wall” in the SAP Arena, support during the club’s crisis in the early 2000s, the conception of numerous emotional campaigns, the 2016 Winter Game, and innovative family initiatives such as the children’s jersey project, which allowed young fans to bring their own jersey designs to life.

The result is a long-standing, successful collaboration that has given Adler Mannheim a strong, consistent, and above all modern brand presence – underlining the team’s leading position in German ice hockey. Inspiring campaigns, creative merchandise, and contemporary audience engagement developed by the agency continue to strengthen the bond between fans, partners, and the team alike.

Three posters from a campaign in the club’s colors, with the titles: ‘From September, sports have thirds again,’ ‘From September, the world is a disc again,’ ‘From September, madness is blue, white, red again.’
Campaign motif for the Winter Game 2017. The logo is a creative combination of the logos of the two teams, Adler and Wildwings. Another poster shows the step-by-step graphic derivation of this combined logo.
Series of posters styled like the back of team jerseys, showing player numbers and names. Instead, other messages are conveyed in text: ‘Eighty Seasons; One Family; Founded Thirty-Eight.’
Three campaign visuals, each showing a combination of an exciting game scene and the current game minute on the scoreboard, with the texts: ‘Excitement from the first second,’ ‘100 percent anytime,’ ‘Celebrate great moments.’
Four landscape-format poster variants. The backgrounds show fast-paced game scenes, the team celebrating victory, and the SAP Arena from the outside in the club’s colors. Each headline reads ‘Our Colors,’ with the additions: ‘our family,’ ‘our boys,’ ‘our champions,’ or ‘our home.’
